Fourth Group Discussion - Planning Flow Meeting (Interview Strategy & Approved Website Direction)

In our fourth group discussion, which was conducted to further solidify the progress of our project, we focused primarily on planning the overall flow for our upcoming user interviews. We began by discussing how the interviews should be structured, ensuring that each stage from introduction, question delivery, to closing would run smoothly and professionally. Each member contributed ideas on how to make the interview more effective, especially in gathering accurate and meaningful insights from target users. Through this discussion, we realized the importance of having a clear timeline, consistent questioning, and proper documentation to avoid the issues encountered previously.

Following that, we worked together to refine the set of interview questions we planned to use. We reviewed each question carefully to ensure they were relevant, easy to understand, and aligned with the goals of our research. This involved identifying questions that needed rephrasing, removing those that were repetitive, and adding new ones to capture missing information. Our goal was to create a well-structured question set that would allow us to gather deeper and more reliable user feedback for the redesign project.

A major highlight of this meeting was discussing our consultation with the lecturer. Prior to this session, our team had presented the website we intended to redesign, and we successfully received approval. During the meeting, we talked about the guidance provided by the lecturer and how it confirmed that our chosen website fits the project requirements. This approval gave us confidence and ensured that we are progressing in the right direction. It also allowed us to move forward without hesitation into the next stages of the design process.

Additionally, we emphasized the importance of organizing our workflow more efficiently as we prepare for the next phase. With the interview flow and questions almost finalized, we assigned tasks to ensure that each member knows their responsibilities such as preparing the interview materials, finalizing documents, and arranging the interview sessions. We also agreed to continue strengthening our teamwork through better communication and more consistent progress updates.

Overall, this fourth group discussion played a crucial role in shaping our project direction. By finalizing our interview planning, refining our question set, and receiving lecturer approval for the website, we are now more confident and prepared to continue with the Design Thinking process. This meeting not only improved our clarity and structure but also ensured that our next steps will be carried out more systematically and effectively as we move forward with the project.
